Formally known as the Victorian Surfboat Rowers League, the VSRL is the Victorian arm of the Australian Surfboat Rowers League (ASRL) and was formed to promote the thrilling sport of surf rowing within state (Life Saving Victoria) and national (ASRL) contexts. With our stunning coastline and abundant waves, Victoria is a haven for surf rowers who seek excitement, adventure and camaraderie.
The VSRL is responsible for:
- Organizing and conducting competitions state-wide in Victoria
- Providing developmental programs for emerging coaches and sweeps, creating better opportunities for growth
- Facilitating the development of LSV and SLSA officials
- Providing feedback to LSV, ASRL, and SLSA regarding any inquiries or issues that may arise
- Having an individual representative appointed to the LSV Aquatic Sports Executive
- Sharing regular updates with members via social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook)
The VSRL is more than just a sporting organization; it is a tight-knit community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for the ocean and the sport of surf rowing. From seasoned rowers to enthusiastic newcomers, everyone is welcomed with open arms and encouraged to embrace the friendly but fiercely competitive environment.
