Stage 2 sweeps are eligible for competition for conditions rated up to 13 under the SHR system. S2 sweeps remain under the guidance of qualified panel of sweeps.

During this stage, the online coaching course is to be completed, and to obtain the S2 qualification requires attendance of a sweeps course and approval by the panel of sweeps in a formal process.
